Day 45: Aug 17 (Tok, AK - Whitehorse, Yukon) 420 miles

Happy Anniversary  To US!!

We started the day out at the Tok RV Village RV park, where we had stayed on the way to Alaska.

While we were getting ready to go a squirrel was hopping from tree to tree, knocking down the pine cones. In this picture you can see he's on his way to another tree. He was doing this until we left. We figured the winters must be pretty cold if he's working this hard to get his stores up!

Tok, AK to Whitehorse, Yukon:

If you go to Alaska or Canada, I highly recommend going to all the visitors centers. Most all have more then just travel information. Many have history, demonstrations and more. They are all very helpful!! This one was in Alaska before the Canadian Border..

This was the Refuge behind the visitors station where you can go hiking and fishing.

One of the type of fish that are in these lakes.

On the road:

These pictures were taken in the Yukon. We noticed the trees were turning fall colors already.

We ended up staying at the Hi Country RV Park, the same place as on the way to Alaska. Also, we had decided to make it a short trip, so we could go out to dinner for our Anniversary. We found a great restaurant (Wheel House Restaurant) and it had good food and great service. Again, I did not take pictures! I had a Steak with a great sauce and Jeff had a Seafood pasta. I did not even use steak sauce on my steak, that's how good it was! We shared a Coffee Creme Brulae! Yum!
