Day 34/35 Aug 6/7 (Dump/Rocky's Cafe)

Saturday: Aug 6th

Yep, you heard it right. Garbage Dump! I know it sounds strange, but I am a tourist ya know!! Jeff and I took some garbage to the dump and I was really excited about the “Watch for Bears”! Nope, we did not see any BEARS! But we just might before we leave?  So we can dump Household garbage for Free here. We do have to make sure the doors on the garbage cans are closed, so bears don’t get into them. Think about it—do you get a chance of seeing BEARS at your dump? Is your local dump station free?

After the dump we went to Rockys Cafe on Sterling Hwy, which had a Cafe, Grocery Store that had a DVD room, hardware, cold weather clothing and souvenirs. It also had merles, pictures of iditarod winners and outside creations(see Pics).

We have not seen any skitters this big YET!

Brother Don arrives at the Beach House:

Sun: Aug 7th

Jan and Don invited us to a dinner, that was fit for a King and enough food to feed the kingdom!  We had King Crab, Beef Roast and Silver Salmon for the main course.
Awesome Dinner! Awesome desert!
